Vanessa Arbuthnott is a fabric designer and sells made to measure curtains, blinds and furniture upholstered with her fabric.
If you have ever ordered or made a pair of curtains then you’ll know how complex a process it is. We built a complex curtain ordering website allowing for all sorts of permutations. There is also a clever order management and back office system supporting all sales activity.
Naturalmat
Naturalmat makes organic mattresses and beds for children.
Conversion rates and SEO results had dropped since a recent site rebuild. Our task was to get the site back to where it had once been and to build on from there.
We fixed the myriad of issues affecting the performance of the site including site speed, navigation issues, incorrect redirects. Within a few weeks of correcting the onsite issues the orders for baby products started to increase to near same levels as before. We continue to build links via digital PR, content marketing and traffic via PPC.
Walkers Builders Merchants
Walkers Builders merchants are an established builders merchants based in the South East. Their previous e-commerce presence was failing on all levels.
We revamped the site design and organised the data, added calculators, delivery matrix and generally got it ship-shape.
Little Hay Company
This was another rescue project as their previous website was not making significant sales. We revamped the design in Shopify and tidied up the usability and made sure that we adhered to the branding guidelines.
Since taking over the site we have increased sales month on month whilst actually reducing costs from the previous supplier.
Turtle Mat
They have taken the humble doormat and transformed it into an artform.
We built a beautiful responsive, e-commerce website. Among many features built into the site there is dynamic product product display automatically showing the best selling items, and related items.
Also intelligent 404 pages show alternative products rather than just an error and the basket shows related items to help increase average order values.
We also built bespoke call centre software for their sales agents to plug into so that there is no “divisioin” between offline and online customers.
Design 911
This is an e-commerce website selling Porsche car parts and cars with over 100,000 products listed.
The site has had many iterations to reach the high performance that it now has. The current one, although not the prettiest website in the world has been the most successful.

Beds Are Uzzz
Beds Are Uzzz have extensive studio showrooms throughout the South of England offering a wide range of the UK’s best branded Beds, Mattresses, Bed Frames, Accessories & Bedroom furniture at the most competitive prices.
The site is packed with functionality including complex solutions for handling their many promotions, upsell pop ups, abandoned baskets, pay by finance etc. Basically everything an e-commerce business needs.
Hancocks Signet Rings
In 2019 Hancocks entrusted West Datadial to build them a website for people to order signet rings and other jewellery, with their own crest on. We developed the site in Magento 2.
Users can search for their family crest, from a database of 22,000 crests and to add this to their order, as well as inscriptions and mottos.
Yapp Brothers
Some people know what they are looking for, others do not so we introduced different ways to find wine on the site. The multi-search facility is a visual drill down. The Food and Wine Matcher makes discovering wine fun and easy so you no longer have to rely on the grapevine in order to learn about good wine.
Other functionality includes mixed case creation, special offers, reminder for out of stock items, stock integration with Sage and so much more…
